Once the capital of the vast
Roman Empire, and today the capital of Italy. Rome is one of
the world’s oldest and most spectacular cites.
Founded in 753 B.C, according to the legend of Romulus, it’s
glorious history spans almost nine centuries. Located on the
Italian Peninsula halfway between the Alps and the
Mediterranean, the “Eternal City” offers more to see than
almost any other destination in Europe. The Catacombs, the
Coliseum, the Circus Maximus, the Vatican with the Sistine
Chapel, the St. Peter's Basilica and its museum are just
some sights to see.
You can find famous shopping streets such as the Via
Condotti, and several cafes in the piazzas and throughout
the city, where you can relax and enjoy the 'Dolce Vita'.
